General Surgery Department

General surgery describes the wide range of surgical procedures needed mostly in the human body's abdominal and pelvic regions. The spectrum of organs includes the colon, rectum, and thoracic area, and it treats conditions including gallstones, tumours, and bumps, as well as all hernia forms. United Christian Hospital takes pleasure in offering the greatest standards in general surgery through minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures, guaranteeing the highest standard of care from the patient's preoperative to postoperative experiences.

Bariatric surgery, breast surgery, pancreatic, liver, bile duct, gallbladder surgery, hernia surgery, gastric cancer surgery, and sarcoma/melanoma surgery are a few sub-specialties that are only offered at United Christian Hospital. To offer this level of surgical competence, our highly qualified doctors have extensive worldwide experience.

A wide range of surgical procedures, including minor and large operations catered to individual needs, are offered by the Department of General Surgery at UCH.

The department continues to foster innovation and forward-thinking initiatives in education, training, and patient care, earning recognition from PMDC for house work training and CPSP for FCPS Part II.

In keeping with our values, we work to support the medical requirements of our underserved community by utilising improvements in surgical methods that lead to better patient outcomes.
